Submission Guidelines

Small Business Library strives to provide resources that are reliable and credible. To do this there are general guidelines for our editors regarding appropriate submissions.

Contribute High Quality Resources

All resources should be from high quality, reputable sources. Sources should be relevant, timely, and verified for accuracy. When providing a brief description or annotation of a source explain both the strong and weak points of the resource as necessary. Avoid providing links to resources that are not free. Both online and print resources are encouraged to be shared (descriptions of printed resources should include full bibliographic information).

Neutral and Unbiased Opinion

Do not create content that is completely biased towards one idea or ideology. Resist the urge to self promote (but feel free to do so on your user page). Do not post links or create pages that direct users to overtly commercial sites. The purpose of the Small Business Library is to provide users with reliable resources, and cut through the hassle of weeding out extremely commercial and spam filled sites.

Be Fair To Fellow Editors

Small Business Library is set up to be a collaborative effort between respected peers. If you disagree about suggested resources or content, use the discussion tab on the page to bring up any issues before making alterations that may be considered controversial.

Do Not Infringe On Copyrighted Material

Correctly cite information when linking to outside sources and provide unique and thoughtful content when reviewing resources.
